The 400G QSFP-DD SR4 supports 400 Gigabit Ethernet applications. This fiber-optic, parallel QSFP-DD double-density device can be used as a plug-in device. With multiple lanes, this device is a highly efficient module that allows for the exchange of data at small distances. The eight channels of electric information at a speed of 53.125 Gbit/s can be transformed into four optical channels at a speed of 106.25 Gbit/s each by using this module. In turn, it transforms four channels of 106.25 Gbit/s of visual input into 8 channels of output electrical information at one end. Each lane can operate for up to 60 meters using OM3 fiber, and 100 meters with OM4 fibers with FEC. The optical modules are made to work with 850-nanometer multimode fibers with a wavelength of 850 nm. It is an MTP 12-fiber (MPO) connector. The VCSEL and circuits that have been tested have been demonstrated to work effectively, last for a long time, and provide steady service, and are employed for the CMIS standard for QSFPDD modules.
