For 100GBASE-ZR4 optical communication, the 100GBASE-ZR4 transceiver module is utilized. This optical module efficiently converts 25 Gb/s electrical data input channels into Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) optical signals, allowing for quick networking. At the receiver, a 100 Gb/s optical input is demultiplexed into four LAN WDM optical channels, enhancing data integrity and performance over long distances. High-performance cooled LAN WDM EML transmitters and PIN+SOA receivers ensure that 100 Gigabit Ethernet applications run smoothly across distances of up to 80 kilometers. The QSFP28 module is a compact, hot-pluggable device that provides reliable and flexible optical communication.
